3018 CNC Swarf Tray STL – Desktop CNC Upgrade | Digital Download

If you own a 3018 desktop CNC, you’ll remember that very first cut — and how quickly your entire workspace transformed into something that looked like a winter snow scene. MDF dust, acrylic chips, aluminium swarf… it gets everywhere.

Our 3018 Swarf / Splash Tray is designed to solve that problem cleanly and effectively. Inspired by the containment systems used on larger industrial machines, this tray helps control, capture, and contain debris without restricting access to your CNC.

The tray installs directly onto the 3018’s aluminium bed using a combination of the underside bed slots and the front and rear T‑slots, ensuring a secure, rattle‑free fit. Each section is joined using 8 × M3 x 15mm bolts and nuts, allowing for fine adjustment so the tray can sit tight around the CNC bed without leaving gaps for swarf to escape.

Once fitted, you retain full access to your machine — nothing interferes with tool changes, clamps, spoilboards, or workholding. What you gain is a cleaner workspace, easier cleanup, and far less airborne dust settling across your desk.

Whether you’re engraving acrylic, milling hardwood, or surfacing MDF, this upgrade keeps the mess where it belongs: inside the tray, not all over your room.

This STL is ideal for anyone who wants to keep their 3018 CNC area tidy, reduce airborne dust, and stop chips from spreading across the room. Whether you’re milling hardwood, engraving acrylic, or surfacing MDF, this upgrade keeps the mess where it belongs: inside the tray, not all over your desk.

This license allows you to enjoy the model at home, display it, paint it, modify your printed version, and showcase your finished work online.

  • Sell or publicly distribute modified versions of the digital files

  • Upload, publish, or share the digital model files anywhere online

  • Use the 3D model or its digital files for commercial purposes

  • Modify or adapt the digital model for public sharing or resale

The license strictly protects the digital files and ensures they remain for private use only.

If you share photos of your physical 3D prints, you must:

  • Credit the designer(s) of the licensed 3D model (a name or pseudonym, if provided)

  • Include a link to the original licensed 3D model on the Easton3D website

This applies only to images of your printed model — not the digital files.
